Coloring the road, the grass, and the sidewalk.
Mama saw them playing and smiled at the fun.
"Don't forget to wash up when you're done."
One little monkey, trying to be grown
Colored brother's face and then her own.
Mama saw the makeup job and laughed at the sight
"Guess that's what you get when you dance all night."
Two little monkeys, Bub and Sweets,
Played until they heard Mama open treats.
Mama saw them coming and stopped the flat.
"Can't come in when you look like that!"
Two little monkeys, sprayed down with the hose,
Dripping from their hair, their chin, and nose.
Mama dried them off and opened the door wide.
"Now that you are clean you can come inside."
